Research assistant. We welcome students from speech-language pathology, education, psychology, or any related field to work in the lab. We look for students who can work collaboratively with peers, multitask, and have well-developed problem-solving skills. Positions require a minimum of a semester, and weekly hours depend on the responsibilities.
What are the responsibilities of a research assistant? Research assistants participate in all aspects of the lab, including running experiments, recruiting new research participants by email and phone, and processing data (e.g., linguistic transcription and coding or inputting data in databases). Some students are responsible for their own research project, participate in conference presentations, and publications.
Are positions paid? Positions can be paid through University scholarships (becas de colaboración) or research assistant part-time contracts. Contact us for more information.
Are you interested in a Ph.D? Check out our Ph.D. programs at UVa here. Contact us for more information about funding opportunities (predoc UVa, FPI/FPU, La Caixa Foundation, and Junta CyL).
If you have any questions or would like to visit the lab, feel free to contact us anytime to set up an appointment.
